Warmest holiday wishes to our friends and neighbors of the Jewish Faith celebrating Chanukah (Hanukkah), the Festival of Lights, which starts on the Hebrew calendar date of 25 Kislev, which in the year 2016 starts on December 24 and lasts eight days, ending on January 1, 2017.  The first candle of the menorah is lit at nightfall of the first date.

The Knights of Columbus Councils 15 &  25 of Southington jointly sponsor the January 2017
Youth Basketball Challenge

Eligible to participate are boys and girls of the ages 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 residing in the Town of Southington, include the Plantsville, Marion and Milldale sections. 

The cost of entry is FREE. Place: Southington Catholic School Gym. Registration will take place from 10:30 until noon. Competition begins at 11:00 am and will end at 1:00 pm. Competition will be by gender and age groups. 
Each player receives  15 Free Throw Shots at the Basket. High scorer in each age/gender group wins and advances to District Competition.  Contact:   Phil Mazzati at 203-395-4381

2017 Sloper Polar Plunge 
Time: 12:30pm - 1:00pm - check-in*  1:00pm - YMCA Sloper Plunge at YMCA Camp Sloper *Check-in will be at the Camp Office in the McLeod Pavilion. All proceeds go towards the YMCA Annual Campaign which provides camp scholarships for children in Southington to attend YMCA Camp Sloper over the summer!   Click here to pledge one of our brave plungers!
