The Early Childhood Collaborative of Southington will present a free educational presentation for childcare providers, parents/guardians and community members a
Special Workshop on Wednesday, March 22nd called “Brain Development in Early Childhood.”
The speaker is Allison Logan, the Early Childhood Project Manager of United Way of Coastal Fairfield County.
Attendees will learn:
· The latest brain research on children from birth to age 4
· Toxic stress and adversity and its effect on brain development
· Techniques and activities that can be done to support early brain development in home and in the classroom
