February is American Heart Care Month

Did you know that 1 in 3 women die of heart disease and stroke each year? This year’s National Wear Red observance is the 15th year that millions of mothers, sisters, daughters and friends are making a change for heart health.  Encourage the women in your life to schedule a visit with their doctor to assess their risk for heart disease and stroke. Learn more, and wear your red on Friday, February 3.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is partnering with the American Heart Association to raise awareness about heart health for women Veterans by asking women Veterans to Know Your Numbers (Blood Sugar, Blood Pressure, Cholesterol, and Body Weight) this February.  Read More
